The Bali International Choir Festival returns for its seventh year, featuring talks from global choral experts, concerts of a wide range of genres, and singing competitions.
The Festival has various categories judged by professional juries, and all choir participants will receive valuable evaluation and feedback. BICF 2018 is an opportunity to
sharpen skills, collaborate and to come together collectively to promote and nurture friendship, harmony and peace.
Competition categories include:
- Male choir
- Female choir
- Mixed youth choir
- Scenic folklore
- Pop & jazz
- Musica sacra
- Gospel spiritual
Each choir participant will have an opportunity to specifically register in Choir Clinic. For 30 minutes, choir participants will gain advice and direction from Choral Expert in order to improve the artistic quality for future performances, and will get a Certificate of Participation.
They will also have an opportunity to specifically register in workshops in order to gain enrichment in choral knowledge and skill, as well as actively engaged in collaborations and choir rehearsals with
Every participant will be involved in any rehearsals and concerts led by the #7thBICF2018 choral experts. Participants will get enrichment in choir knowledge and choir skills, as well as singing practice together with other choirs. This activity is open for individual singers, conductors, choirs, or other participants from Indonesia or other countries by registering specifically.
Choir members are able to meet the juries, and can send a maximum of 7 members as representative for this activity. They will get an opportunity to consult and receive some reviews of previous performances on#7thBICF2018 as an evaluation for future. Choir participants can register directly after evaluation performances for free.

Founded in July 2000 by Mr. Tommyanto Kandisaputra, the vision is to build strong choral life in Indonesia by organizing many events: ateliers, concerts, seminars, workshops, choral music camps, collaborations, choral clinics, competitions and symposiums. Through these projects, singers and conductors gain experience, by building skills, knowledge, and attitudes in workshops, rehearsals, and concerts.
